
Lance Cheney (lead rapper)
Lance Cheney, is a proud Wiradjuri rapper, producer, audio engineer, educator and manager of Kameygal Music Studio, based on Gadigal Country in Sydney. Despite growing up in a family that didn’t support a career in music, he pursued his passion, studying Audio Engineering and Music Production at Abbey Road Institute Sydney before building a career as both an artist and mentor. Through honest storytelling and high-energy performances, ChillCheney has become a respected voice in Australian hip hop.
He has performed at festivals including COOEE Festival, Yabun Festival, NAIDOC in the City, Marrickville Festival and Liverpool Festival, supported Drapht and Tech N9ne, and independently toured Australia in 2024. Alongside his music career, Lance teaches Sound Production at TAFE NSW Eora, manages Kameygal Music Studio, and mentors emerging artists through songwriting, production and performance workshops, helping create pathways for the next generation of musicians.

Sahaja (lead singer)
Sahaja is a vocalist, songwriter and performer whose music blends R&B, electronic and alternative influences with soulful melodies and emotive storytelling. Inspired by artists such as Jhené Aiko and Björk, she brings a unique sound that balances vulnerability with powerful stage presence.
Since joining ChillCheney in 2023, Sahaja has become an integral part of the band’s live show, contributing lead vocals, songwriting and creative direction. She has performed at festivals and on national tours with the group, while also working as a backing vocalist for Afro Moses. Whether performing live or writing in the studio, Sahaja is driven by a passion for creating authentic music that connects with audiences.

Harvey Faulkner (guitarist)
Harvey Faulkner is a guitarist, producer and educator currently performing with ChillCheney. After picking up the guitar at age 12, he developed a passion for music that led him to study Jazz Guitar at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he continues to refine his craft. Drawing on influences from jazz, rock and hip hop, Harvey has built a versatile style that translates seamlessly between live performance and the studio.
Alongside performing with ChillCheney, Harvey works closely on music production and beat making, contributing to the band’s evolving sound and other collaborative projects. He has performed at venues including the Sydney Opera House, Lazybones Jazz Lounge, Manly Jazz Festival and The Vanguard, while also sharing his knowledge as a guitar and bass teacher. His passion for performance, production and education continues to shape his growing career within the Australian music scene.
